The details on the feathers are amazing! The colors are beautiful, and i love how each feather has little highlights and shading... You must be really patient to do all that. How much time did it take you?

Well, I always use the smaaaaaaallest brush I can find, and never change it, even for the larger areas, because I fricken love detail and I can really get in there with that tiny tip. I've even dipped a pin head in white paint to dot all the stars on, that part was fun. I'd say, far too damned long to finish.....I started it in probably sometime last year and abandoned it many times and poked and proded it for hours. Altho if I were to actually have sat down and done it all at once it probly would have taken a full 24 hours of painting, haha. Blame the teeny brush.

my jaw pretty much dropped when I saw this!
I wish the full view were even larger so I could really see all of the tiny details. This must look amazing in person.
Also, I love the colours.

First of all, the colours you’ve chosen for the rooster are wonderfully beautiful; so vivid & bright, really amazing. The amount of details is incredible, and especially the feathers & the gill are extremely well done. The background looks really neat & as it’s monochrome it emphasises the colourfulness of the rooster. Nice idea and composition.
